Mental health plus physical wellness can play an integral part on the balance of our psyche. As we all know when our bodies are in an unhealthy condition it has a direct connection on mental faculties. This can include chronic pain disorder and diseases, uncontrolled cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes to name a few. It is as simple as the concept of understanding how being extremely overwhelmed and stressed out causes us anxiety and/or depression. When our bodies are run down or not in top functioning order the impact can show up in the brain through depression, anxiety or aggravate an already diagnosed mental illness.
Personally, I think it is a great idea to evaluate our physical routines periodically, especially when we start to note an increase of unbalance in our lives.

Personally, I think it is a great idea to evaluate our physical routines periodically, especially when we start to note an increase of unbalance in our lives.
Some things to consider:
- Do you follow an exercise routine weekly?
- Are you eating as healthy as possible?
- Are you getting your required amount of sleep?
- Are you drinking the recommended daily amount of water your body needs?
- Are you making and keeping your doctor's appointment?
- Are you taking your prescribed medicines?
- Are you following your doctor's instructions regarding your health, mental health and prescriptions?
These are all things that we should be doing. If you haven't had a regular check-up or are not current with your doctor's appointments I encourage you to make your appointment and keep it.
*As with anything always check with your doctor before trying anything new.*
Now, why did I bring this up at the end of the year? This is a good time to reevaluate your physical and mental well-being before the new year begins.
